A woman is dead after a hit and run crash in Dixie County early Wednesday morning
Florida Highway Patrol troopers say the crash happened on US 19 at the intersection of Northeast 446th Street just before 1 a.m.
The woman was hit by a vehicle within the southbound lane on US 19, and the driver of the vehicle drove off.
The woman died at the scene. FHP troopers are investigating the crash.
