The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office is investigating a shooting with injuries that happened on Hayden Lakes Circle in Oceanway Tuesday night.
The sheriff’s office said officers were called out to the scene shortly after 7 p.m. after two people were reported shot.
The victims, who lived nearby, were walking through the neighborhood when a reportedly unknown suspect or suspects fired shots in their direction, the sheriff’s office said Tuesday.
One of the victims was in their early 20s, while the other was in their late teens. Injuries included a gunshot wound to one victim’s chest and the other’s thigh, which JSO said were non-life-threatening.
No suspect information was immediately known.
