One juvenile was injured following a house fire in Bonifay on Tuesday night.

According to officials, around 10:30 p.m., multiple fire departments responded to a fire in the Dogwood Lakes Community.

Officials reported that the home was fully engulfed upon arrival. Firefighters worked to extinguish the fire by using more than 50,000 gallons of water.

It was reported that the juvenile was airlifted to a regional trauma burn center for treatment. No other injuries were reported.

The State Fire Marshal’s Office is currently investigating the cause of the fire.
