A two-vehicle crash at the intersection of College Parkway and Kenwood Lane on Friday morning left one person injured and sent an SUV careening into a building in the Villas.

According to South Trail Fire & Rescue, the vehicle struck the exterior of a building at the Kenwood Commons plaza, and the damage was limited to exterior cosmetic impact only. The structure and overall stability of the building were not affected, South Trail Fire said.

Fire officials said the driver of the SUV that collided with the building was taken to the hospital for further evaluation.

Gulf Coast News is working to find out the extent of the injuries of the driver who was transported to the hospital.
