A woman was taken into custody Wednesday morning after she shot her boyfriend at an apartment complex in northwest Miami-Dade, authorities said.
The shooting was reported at about 1:50 a.m. at the Centre Lakes Apartments, located at 15754 NW Seventh Ave.
According to Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office deputies, the woman shot her boyfriend in the right arm during a heated argument.
Miami-Dade Fire Rescue personnel transported the victim to Jackson Memorial Hospital’s Ryder Trauma Center in critical condition.
The girlfriend was taken into custody.
Witnesses told Local 10 News that at one point, a boy was escorted into a police vehicle.
