SANTA ROSA BEACH, Fla. (WJHG/WECP) – An 11-year-old girl was medflighted Sunday afternoon after being hit by a truck on 30A.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, a pickup truck with a 17-year-old male driver was traveling south on County Road 83 and stopped at the intersection of CR-83 and 30A. The driver was waiting to turn left, east onto 30A as the girl was heading North on CR-83 and 30A and crossed at the marked crosswalk.
Officials say the driver failed to yield and hit the girl.
