Marion County firefighters put out semi-truck fire, no injuries reported

SILVER SPRINGS, Fla. (WCJB) – Marion County Fire Rescue crews put out a semi-truck fire Tuesday afternoon.

MCFR officials say crews responded to the 20000 block of East Highway 40 in Silver Springs just after 3 p.m. to reports of a vehicle on fire.

Crews arrived to find a semi-truck on its side and on fire. Firefighters were able to quickly put out the fire before it could threaten the nearby woods.

There were no injuries to the driver or firefighters, and the cause of the fire is under investigation.
