A family of six was rushed to the hospital after a golf cart crash in Pasco County. The crash happened when a U-turn led to a head-on collision with a car.
Four children were taken to the hospital. Three have since been released. The oldest child, 12 years old, is expected to be released soon.
The two parents remain in critical condition. A family member described how first responders found them at the scene.
“Doctors had to unpin my sister from the roof and the seat. She was crushed. And that’s why she has the most internal injuries. And then they actually extracted two of my nieces as well,” the family member said.
The driver of the car that struck the golf cart is a 17-year-old girl. Authorities said she remained on scene after the crash.
