A Hawthorne man was killed after he hit another driver in Interlachen, according to Florida Highway Patrol troopers.
Troopers say the 76-year-old man was driving his pickup down Reaves Avenue in Interlachen around 2 p.m. Thursday. They say he turned onto State Road 20, when another driver hit the side of the man’s truck.
The 76-year-old was killed in the crash. The other driver, a 27-year-old man from Crescent City, was taken to the hospital with serious injuries.
