Live Oak man dead after crash at construction zone on US 129

A 61-year-old man from Live Oak is dead following a crash Thursday night, according to Florida Highway Patrol troopers.

Troopers say the crash happened just after 9:30 p.m. on U.S. Highway 129.

Investigators report the 61-year-old was driving a pickup truck when he collided with an SUV that was stopped in a construction zone.

The driver of the pickup truck was taken to the hospital, where he later died.

The driver of the SUV suffered minor injuries.
