2 injured in Tampa double shooting; trio spotted fleeing the scene

Officers are searching for three suspects after responding to a reported shooting Thursday afternoon.

According to the Tampa Police Department, officers responded at 1:40 p.m. to a report that someone had been shot in the 3600 block of Machado Street.

As officers were en route, they learned that there was a second shooting victim.

Officers arrived and found two males with gunshot wounds. They immediately provided first aid until Tampa Fire Rescue arrived and took the victims to the hospital.

Three suspects were seen running from the scene before possibly getting into a vehicle, police said.

They were all reportedly black males with twists in their hair, and one was described as approximately 5’6” and 130 pounds.

Officers are searching the area to find the suspects, and investigators are gathering evidence to determine what led to the shooting.
