A 47-year-old woman from Ocala died after a two-car crash in Ocala Sunday afternoon.
Florida Highway Patrol troopers say an 18-year-old from Ocala was driving a sedan north on Pine Road, approaching the Hemlock Road intersection, just before 5:30 p.m.
A 38-year-old man from Ocala was driving a sedan west on Hemlock Road, approaching the Pine Road intersection. Both sedans drove through the intersection at the same time, and the first sedan hit the left side of the second sedan.
The first sedan then hit a utility pole and a metal fence. The 38-year-old driver was ejected from the vehicle. The passenger of the second sedan died at the scene. The driver of the second sedan and both people in the first sedan were taken to the hospital.
