Car destroyed, 1 injured in crash following attempted traffic stop in North Naples


NORTH NAPLES, Fla. —

One person was injured in a crash following an attempted traffic stop on a truck in North Naples early Thursday morning.

According to the Collier County Sheriff’s Office, at around 3:08 a.m., deputies attempted a traffic stop on a truck that was speeding. The truck fled the stop and then crashed into another vehicle at US-41 and Immokalee Road.

One person sustained injuries and was transported to the hospital, CCSO said.

The driver of the truck reportedly fled the traffic stop due to not having a valid driver’s license, according to CCSO. One person is in custody.
