A fire at a Lakeland mobile home claimed the lives of one person and two dogs on Monday, officials said.
Reports of a structure fire began coming in around 4 p.m., according to the Lakeland Fire Department.
Firefighters said they saw flames coming from the mobile home on Bert Street as they were arriving and learned that someone might still be trapped inside.
Crews immediately launched a search of the home, but it was too late, authorities said.
