A man was stabbed to death in Northwest Gainesville on Sunday night.
Gainesville Police Department officers say 911 callers reported a fight on Northwest Third Street. When they arrived, they found a man suffering from stab wounds. He was taken to the hospital, where he died.
Homicide detectives continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the stabbing. They ask anyone with information to contact the Gainesville Police Department at 352-393-7500. Anonymous tips can also be submitted to Alachua County Crime Stoppers Inc or by calling 352-372-STOP (7867).
Detectives are also investigating a deadly shooting in northwest Gainesville on Sunday night. They say the two incidents are not related.
