Orlando police investigating after a truck plows into home; 1 injured

The Orlando Police Department is investigating a crash that left one person injured after a truck smashed into a home in Orlando.

Just after 11:30 a.m. Sunday, the Orlando Fire Department responded to a home on the 5300 block of Asterisk Avenue.

When crews arrived, they discovered a truck had smashed through a concrete barrier and into a home, according to the Orlando Fire Department.

The OFD stated that the home was empty at the time of the crash, but one person was transported to Orlando Regional Medical Center.

At this time, the scene has been turned over to the Orlando Police Department for further investigation.
