St. Augustine man dies after being hit by sedan on Waldo Road

A man from St. Augustine is dead after being hit by a sedan early Wednesday morning.

Florida Highway Patrol troopers say a 34-year-old woman from Gainesville was driving her sedan northeast on Waldo Road at around 6 a.m.

A 50-year-old man was crossing the roadway at the intersection of Northeast 57th Street and Waldo Road when the 34-year-old hit the man.

he roadway was not lit at the time of the crash, and the man was not wearing high-visibility clothing.

Troopers say the man died from the crash.
