According to an FHP report, a sedan was traveling northbound on John Young Parkway, south of Oak Ridge Road, in the center lane when it struck a male pedestrian who was walking midblock — outside of a marked crosswalk — in the direct path of the vehicle. The driver then fled the scene
The victim, who has not been identified, was pronounced dead at the scene, troopers said.
The primary suspect vehicle remains a 2024-2025 dark gray Kia K5. The suspect driver is described as a dark-skinned adult male.
