A boat crash on the St. John’s River caused a pontoon boat to capsize Thursday afternoon.
Putnam County Fire-Rescue and the Putnam County Sheriff’s Office’s Marine Unit responded to a call near Marker 25 saying three people aboard the pontoon boat were in the water. Nearby boaters acted, helping the three to safety.
The pontoon boat was towed from the scene to a private dock. No injuries are currently reported.
