FHP reports car crash involving Walton County Sheriff’s Office Deputy

One man has been cited after colliding with a Walton County Sheriff’s Office patrol car.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, on Monday night, a pickup truck was traveling north on Kings Lake Road and turned right along a curve. During that time, a Walton County Deputy was traveling south on the curve in a patrol vehicle.

The truck entered the oncoming lane of the deputy and sideswiped the left side of the patrol car. Officials said no injuries were sustained during the incident, and the truck driver was cited for his failure to stay in his lane.
