Pedestrian struck in Little Havana airlifted to hospital

One person was hospitalized after being injured in a traffic crash Sunday in Miami.

Preliminary information from authorities indicates Miami-Dade Fire Rescue responded to reports of a pedestrian struck by a vehicle in the Little Havana neighborhood.

When rescue crews arrived, they determined that an air rescue helicopter was needed to transport the patient.

Although Miami-Dade Fire Rescue did not release information about the victim’s condition, officials confirmed the patient was taken to the West Trauma Center.
