Golf course maintenance worker traumatically injured in crash in The Villages

A golf course maintenance worker was traumatically injured in a crash in The Villages.

The 58-year-old Inverness man who works for ASG Solutions was at the wheel of Club Car utility style golf cart at 1 p.m. Tuesday when he was traveling on the golf cart path from the Jacaranda Golf Course onto St. Charles Place near the Village of Pennecamp, according to information from the Florida Highway Patrol. The golf course maintenance worker did not stop at a stop sign and drove into the path of a white 2026 Hyundai Tucson utility vehicle which had been traveling on St. Charles Place at Abordale Lane. The vehicle was driven by an 81-year-old resident of the Village of Pine Ridge.

The two vehicles collided and the golf cart maintenance worker was knocked from the golf cart. He suffered traumatic, but non-life threatening injuries, and was transported to Ocala Regional Medical Center.

The Villager driving the other vehicle was transported by ambulance to the emergency room at Trailwinds Village on County Road 466A in Wildwood.

A golf cart accident can happen suddenly and lead to serious injuries, especially when carts are operated on public roads, private communities, golf courses, or resorts. Although golf carts may seem harmless, they lack safety features such as seatbelts and airbags, making occupants vulnerable during a collision or rollover. At Ovadia Law Group, we help individuals and families understand their legal options after a golf cart accident caused by negligence. These accidents may involve distracted drivers, defective carts, poorly maintained roads, or inexperienced operators. A skilled golf cart accident lawyer will investigate the cause, determine liability, and pursue compensation for medical bills, lost income, and pain and suffering. Ovadia Law Group is committed to protecting the rights of accident victims and holding negligent parties accountable. If you or a loved one has been injured, call us at 1‑800‑674‑9396 for a free consultation to discuss your case.
