A 76-year-old man from Century was killed Monday morning after being struck by a sedan on U.S. Highway 29 in Escambia County.
Troopers say the crash happened at 9:25 a.m. on U.S. 29 south of Henry Street.
A white sedan driven by a 27-year-old Flomaton woman was traveling northbound when it hit the pedestrian, who was standing in the travel lane, according to FHP.
Troopers say the pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver was not injured. A 7-year-old girl passenger from Flomaton was also not injured.
The investigation was ongoing.
