A vehicle fire on I-95 South in Palm Beach County shut down multiple lanes Wednesday afternoon, causing traffic disruptions for commuters, according to Florida 511.

The incident occurred just before Exit 52 at SR-806/Atlantic Avenue East in Delray Beach, where two right lanes were blocked as emergency crews responded to the scene. Florida 511 first reported the fire at 2:48 p.m., and the situation was last updated at 3:21 p.m., with a Road Ranger on site assisting, and drivers urged to move over or slow down.

Traffic cameras show major traffic delays, with vehicles stuck in bumper-to-bumper traffic.

Officials have not yet released information about injuries or what caused the fire. Traffic remained slow in the area as crews worked to contain the blaze and clear the roadway. Drivers were advised to exercise caution while traveling through the area and expect delays.
