A fire sparked at a Fort Myers apartment building on the 2000 block of Broadway. No injuries were reported.
According to the Fort Myers Fire Department, the fire started in a multifamily residential unit on the second floor. The Fort Myers Police Department was on the scene to assist with evacuations until firefighters could arrive.
FMFD says that they were able to contain the fire to one apartment, and that only one person was displaced. Crews say the fire was potentially caused by a pot left unattended on the stove.
