Authorities are investigating a crash that killed a driver in Aventura early Tuesday.
The single-vehicle crash happened around 4:30 a.m. in the 3000 block of the William Lehman Causeway.
Aventura Police said the vehicle was traveling eastbound on the causeway when, for reasons under investigation, it left the roadway.
The vehicle came to a final stop a few feet from the fuel pumps at the Aventura Police Department, officials said.
The man who was driving the vehicle was pronounced dead at the scene. His identity wasn’t released.
The investigation into the crash was ongoing.
