Sanford police are investigating a shooting that left one person injured early Saturday.
Officers responded about 1:40 a.m. after receiving a call about a shooting near Hartwell Avenue and Mitch Court, according to the Sanford Police Department.
When officers arrived, they found a victim with a gunshot wound, police said. The victim was taken to a local hospital with injuries that were not life-threatening.
The incident remains under investigation.
The shooting was the second reported in Sanford on Saturday morning, but police said the incidents are not connected.
