Deadly hit-and-run in Palm Springs leaves 56-year-old man dead

A deadly hit-and-run crash that killed a 56-year-old man is under investigation by the Village of Palm Springs Police Department.

According to police, at about 12:50 a.m. Saturday, a man was found dead in the westbound lanes of Lake Worth Road between Kirk Road and Military Trail.

Video evidence collected by Palm Springs police shows that at 12:08 a.m. a white-and-beige 2002–2007 Toyota Highlander struck the victim, identified as Brian Rouse, as he walked in the roadway. Police say the vehicle continued west on Lake Worth Road..
