A person was hospitalized after a 16-foot vessel crashed into the mangroves near St. James City on Wednesday.
According to the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission, two people were on board the vessel when an incident occurred and caused the vessel to crash into the mangroves.
One of the people on board was injured and taken to a hospital, officials said.
The Lee County Sheriff’s Office and Lee County EMS also responded to the incident.
The incident remains under investigation, FWC said.
