An SUV towing a recreational travel trailer rolled over late Monday morning on Interstate 10 in Escambia County, leaving multiple people with minor injuries.
Troopers say the crash happened at 11:42 a.m. on I-10 (SR-8) westbound near mile marker 14.
The SUV was traveling westbound in the outside lane when it ran off the edge of the roadway onto the shoulder, according to FHP.
Troopers say as the driver tried to regain control, the vehicle traveled farther off the roadway and began to sway out of control. The SUV and the travel trailer it was towing then rolled over, coming to rest on their rooftops across the shoulder and outside lane.
The driver, a 42-year-old Dade City man, suffered minor injuries.
Passengers also reported with minor injuries included a 16-year-old, a 14-year-old girl, an 11-year-old boy, a 10-year-old girl, an 8-year-old girl, and a 1-year-old boy, all from Dade City.
A 3-year-old boy from Dade City was also listed as a passenger; the report did not specify injuries for the 3-year-old.
No further details have been released.
