Several traffic incidents Wednesday morning are causing delays for drivers in Palm Beach County, according to Florida 511.
The most significant incident is a crash on Florida’s Turnpike northbound between Mile Marker 94 and Exit 98 for Jog Road. The crash was reported at 7:24 a.m. and is blocking the left lane. Florida 511 classified the crash as having an intermediate level of severity. The latest update was issued at 7:36 a.m.
Farther north, another crash on I-95 northbound is impacting traffic before Exit 77 for Northlake Boulevard. According to Florida 511, the crash was reported at 8:14 a.m. and is blocking two right lanes. The incident was also listed as intermediate in severity. The latest update was posted at 8:15 a.m.
Traffic cameras show a heavy presence of first responders on the busy highway.
In addition to the crashes, police activity is affecting traffic on I-95 southbound at Exit 59 for Gateway Boulevard/Northwest 22nd Avenue. The right lane is blocked as a result of the incident. Authorities first reported the activity at 7:37 a.m., and the most recent update was provided at 8:10 a.m. Florida 511 categorized the incident as minor.
No information about injuries or the number of vehicles involved in either crash was immediately available.
Motorists traveling through Palm Beach County should expect delays, use caution when approaching the affected areas and consider alternate routes when possible.
