An ambulance crash on Interstate 95 injured three people after the vehicle overturned on Monday.

A spokesperson with the Florida Highway Patrol said the ambulance, which is operated by American Medical Response (AMR), crashed at around 5 p.m. on I-95 southbound near Melbourne.

The trooper said the vehicle lost traction and started going onto the right shoulder. They said the driver tried to correct it by turning back onto the road, but lost control before the ambulance overturned onto its left side.

FHP said the driver and two passengers were taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The crash remains under investigation.

Global Medical Response, the parent company of AMR, released the following statement:

“We are aware of the accident involving one of our ambulances and are actively reviewing the circumstances surrounding it. We can confirm there were no serious injuries. Safety is a core value of our organization, and every vehicle accident is thoroughly investigated in accordance with our established safety processes.”
