4 injured, including 3 older teens, in shooting on Jacksonville’s Westside

At least three older teens were among four people injured Saturday night in a shooting on Jacksonville’s Westside, according to the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office.

Officers were called around 11:40 p.m. Saturday to Ortega Woods Drive in the Duclay Forest area of the Westside because of reports that someone had been shot.

Officers found three men, all in their late teens, suffering from apparent gunshot wounds.

JSO said that around the same time, officers received another call from Ortega Park Boulevard, just a couple of minutes away.

They found a fourth gunshot victim, who they believe was also connected to the same shooting.

JSO did not indicate whether the fourth victim was an adult or younger or the person’s gender.

They also did not give any information on how badly the four people were injured or whether they were taken to the hospital.

Police have not identified a suspect but said they do not believe the victims knew the shooter.
