2 arrested after entering room, hitting 3, including child on cruise ship

Two people were arrested after entering another cruise passenger’s room and hitting three people who asked them to quiet down on the ship, the Brevard County Sheriff’s Office said.

“If isn’t the summer heat that’s getting to them, it’s definitely the alcohol!! Actually now that I think about things, it’s for sure the alcohol combined with an apparent lack of common sense!!” Sheriff Wayne Ivey said.

According to the sheriff’s office, J and his girlfriend, H, were arguing loudly after drinking alcohol when another passenger asked them to quiet down.

H did not like the request, so she decided to confront the victim.

J then decided to walk over with his cell phone and start recording the incident as he told H to beat them up.

According to BCSO, the two then pushed their way into the passenger’s room.

A fight ensued, and J ended up hitting all three people, including a 9-year-old child.

“H was just swinging, hoping one would land. J got a pretty gross injury to his eye, that was either caused by one of the victims or friendly fire from the Haymakers his girlfriend was throwing!!” Ivey said.

None of the victims were seriously injured in the incident.

“So what’s the moral of the story…if you can’t hold your liquor, then you definitely shouldn’t be out in public causing a scene like this and injuring random people including a child!! And if that memo is not clear enough for you then you might want to stay your butt out of Brevard County!!” Ivey said.

J was charged with burglary with a battery and child abuse without great bodily harm, and H was charged with burglary with battery and battery-touch/strike.

“Well at any rate J got a very expensive shore excursion to Ivey’s Iron Bar Lodge,” BCSO said.

“Hopefully they enjoy their extended stay at their unplanned destination with close quarter sleeping arrangements, communal showers, no drink packages and of course no excursions!! Of course on a bright note they will have sandals but not like the Sandals Resorts just the ones you wear in the shower!!” Ivey said.
