Woman dies after getting hit by car while biking near Gainesville Walmart

Gainesville police say a 38-year-old woman died after being hit by a car while biking Sunday afternoon.

Police say the incident occurred along Waldo Road near Walmart around 11:20 Sunday morning.

As a result of the crash, the intersection of 12th Avenue was shut down, but it has since reopened.
