A child was struck by a car on Friday in a shopping center parking lot, Delray Beach police said.

The incident was reported at around 4:46 p.m. and happened in the shopping center on the 1000 block of S. Congress Ave.

The child was taken to a hospital, police said. The child’s condition has not been released.

Delray Beach police are on scene investigating.
