A 55-year-old Seminole woman was arrested Saturday night after Florida Highway Patrol troopers say she crashed a Honda onto a large rock and later registered breath-alcohol readings above Florida’s legal limit.

According to an arrest affidavit, a trooper was dispatched at approximately 7:01 p.m. on August 29, 2026, to a crash in the 9400 block of Hamlin Boulevard in Seminole. Upon arrival, the trooper reported finding a red Honda stuck on top of a large rock. The driver, identified as D was being treated in the back of an ambulance

The trooper reported observing that D had bloodshot and watery eyes and a strong odor of alcohol on her breath. She was transported to HCA Florida Largo Hospital for evaluation.

According to the affidavit, D later told the trooper she had been driving the Honda and was the vehicle’s only occupant. She reportedly said she drank two alcoholic martinis before driving and had not consumed any alcohol after the crash.

The trooper said D agreed to perform standardized field sobriety exercises and exhibited clues of impairment. She was arrested and transported to the Pinellas County Jail.

At the jail, D agreed to provide breath samples, which the affidavit lists as 0.125 and 0.130.

D was charged with DUI involving property damage, a misdemeanor.
