Police looking for driver involved in deadly hit-and-run on Capper Road

The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office is investigating a deadly hit-and-run crash that happened early Wednesday morning in the College Park neighborhood.

JSO said a vehicle, described as a dark SUV, hit a woman on Capper Road near Wingate Road around 3 a.m.

The SUV driver then kept going without calling for help or providing any information, according to JSO.

The woman died at the hospital, according to police.
