Lake City house fire displaces five, three dogs

Five people and three dogs escaped a house fire and are safe, according to Lake City Fire Department officials. The home is considered unlivable.

Crews said the fire started on Northwest Burk Avenue just before noon on Thursday, off U.S. Highway 90.

The fire started in the attic. Officials believe it was caused by faulty wiring.
