A 15-year-old girl was killed, and a 13-year-old was injured after an ATV overturned in Osteen, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

B, 15, was driving a 2021 Honda Pioneer 700 on Pell Road, just south of Ashby Way, around noon Sunday, when she lost control, ran off the road, and overcorrected. The ATV overturned on its left side, ejecting B. She was pronounced dead at the scene, according to the traffic report.

The 13-year-old passenger was taken to a Sanford hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, troopers said.

The crash remains under investigation.
