Two dead in Walton County multi-vehicle crash

Two people are dead following a multiple-vehicle collision Tuesday morning.

The Florida Highway Patrol reports a truck was traveling west on Highway 90 approaching the intersection of State Road 285 around 6:28 a.m.

At the same time, a tractor truck was travelling east approaching the same intersection. The truck prepared to make a left turn onto State Road 285 when it entered the tractor truck’s path of travel, causing a collision.

As a result of the collision, the truck was also pushed into an SUV that was travelling north at the time.

The two passengers in the truck, a 29-year-old man and a 34-year-old man from DeFuniak Springs, were killed. The Florida Highway Patrol has not released the identities of the victims at this time.

All other drivers and passengers in the incident were unharmed.
