Cape Coral firefighters extinguish pickup truck fire on Pine Island Road

Cape Coral firefighters extinguished a pickup truck fire on Pine Island Road near Saddlewood Lane on Thursday night.

According to the Cape Coral Fire Department, firefighters from Engine 8, Tender 8 and Battalion 32 responded to the scene of a pickup truck fire at around 9 p.m.

Crews quickly worked to extinguish the fire with the assistance of Tender 8, which has a 3,000-gallon water tank, providing firefighters with an additional water supply when fighting fires.

Crews extinguished the fire, and no injuries were reported as the driver was able to safely exit the truck.
