Man critically wounded in Liberty City shooting

Miami police are investigating a shooting in the city’s Liberty City neighborhood.

It happened just after 5 p.m. Sunday near Northwest 15th Avenue and 68th Street.

Police said they went to the area after receiving a ShotSpotter alert and found the victim, a man in his 40s.

According to Miami Fire Rescue, medics took him to Jackson Memorial Hospital’s Ryder Trauma Center, where he was in critical condition.

Police did not indicate whether they’ve identified a suspect or a motive.
