A Coral Springs woman was arrested Tuesday after police said she attacked two T-Mobile employees at Coral Square Mall while she was allegedly under the influence of alcohol.
A, 44, was arrested by the Coral Springs Police Department and is facing two counts of battery and one count of disorderly intoxication, according to jail records.
Police said officers responded to the T-Mobile store at 9473 W. Atlantic Blvd. after employees called mall security and reported that A had battered both of them before leaving the store.
One employee told police that A entered the store, sat in a chair and said she needed a new phone. When employees asked to see her identification, A threw it on a table and became rude and belligerent, according to the arrest report.
The report states that the employee told police that A called her a “c–t,” which led her to ask her manager for assistance.
A then became irate after the manager offered to help and not the original employee, police said.
They said as the manager of the store tried to help A, she shoulder-checked her as she walked toward the exit and then spit on the manager, which landed on her left arm and midsection. She then shoulder-checked the manager again before heading to the food court, the report states.
Police said A left a bottle of vodka behind in the T-Mobile store before exiting and was eventually detained.
“It was very obvious by her behavior, speech, overall demeanor, and the smell of an alcoholic beverage on her breath, that A was very intoxicated,” police wrote in the report.
Jail records show she is facing two counts of battery and one count of disorderly intoxication.
As of Thursday afternoon, she was being held at the North Broward Bureau, where her bond wasn’t immediately set.
