Man dies after being struck by vehicle in northwest Miami-Dade: Deputies

A man died after being struck by a vehicle in northwest Miami-Dade Sunday afternoon, according to the Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office.

The crash was reported shortly before 12:30 p.m. near NW 21st Avenue and NW 79th Street. The vehicle remained at the scene, and Miami-Dade Fire Rescue responded and determined the man was dead.

The sheriff’s office Traffic Homicide Unit is investigating the crash and working to determine what led to it.

The investigation is in its early stages. It is not yet known whether the driver will receive any citations or face
