Local 10 News obtained surveillance video Monday of a hit-and-run crash that authorities say left a man hospitalized with brain damage last month.
It happened on April 24 near the intersection of Northwest Sixth Avenue and Northwest 125th Street in North Miami.
Video captured 37-year-old Arseniy Segan getting out of his car and confronting the driver who he was involved in the crash with.
According to police reports, shortly after, Segan found himself on the hood of a vehicle driven by an unknown individual, as the driver accelerated unexpectedly.
“He was rear-ended by a car and he got out from the car and approached him,” Palina Segan, the victim’s wife, told Local 10 News last month.
Segan says the driver who hit her husband didn’t want to give him his information.
“How my husband ended up on his hood, he accelerated really hard,” she said.
Segan said her husband went flying and wound up face-first on the pavement before a bystander went to help him.
“He had multiple skull fractures. They had to remove half of his scalp to save his life,” Segan said.
Police said the hit-and-run driver was then seen fleeing on Interstate 95 and he has not been identified.
