“I got shot in the face and lived to tell the tale:” Actress Christy Carlson Romano shot in the face

Child actress Christy Carlson Romano was shot in the eye on Friday while celebrating her husband’s birthday.

In an Instagram post, the star detailed how she took her husband to shoot clay pigeons as a present.

According to Romano, the two were accompanied by another party who “unsafely fired in the wrong direction,” shooting her directly in the face.

The actress was immediately rushed to the hospital.

“I was hit in five places, one was less than an inch from hitting me directly in my right eye,” she divulged.

The actress said that a fragment was lodged behind her eye and was deemed too risky to surgically remove.

However, she reassured fans that her vision was not impaired at the time of the post.

Romano is best known for her successful career as a child star, taking on roles such as Ren Stevens in ‘Even Stevens’ and the voice of Kim Possible.
