Fire crews battled flames at a house on Moreno Avenue in Fort Myers on Saturday afternoon.

The Fort Myers Fire Department said roofers were doing work on the home located at 2342 Moreno Ave. when a palm frond caught fire from a blowtorch, which then spread to the home.

The home was reportedly under renovation, so no one is currently living there.

Florida Power and Light crews also responded to the scene to disconnect the power lines.

FMFD said no one was displaced, and the fire did not cause significant structural damage.
