A driver slammed into a Port St. Lucie house along Airosa Boulevard near Lucero Drive Thursday evening.

According to the St. Lucie County Sheriff’s Office, the driver slammed a white pickup truck into his home following a domestic-related situation with his wife.

The damage at the scene was extensive. The crash left, what appeared to be a living room, practically fully exposed, revealing a couch and even a lamp, and left debris scattered on the ground.

St. Lucie County Fire Rescue blocked off a portion of the road as they worked to put up temporary beams to support the house.

J has lived in the neighborhood for more than 10 years and said he was shocked to see the vehicle in the home.

“So we were at the fair and we looked on Facebook and I thought that looked like my neighborhood and then I realize It’s the street right over from us,” J said.

The St. Lucie County Sheriff’s Office said the house is no longer safe to live in.
