A man was pinned under his golf cart after a rollover accident in The Villages.
The accident occurred shortly before noon Saturday near the intersection of Lester Drive and Kim Lane on the Historic Side of The Villages.
Witnesses said the golf cart overturned when rounding the corner and the man was trapped under the weight of the vehicle.
The Villages Public Safety Department quickly responded to the scene, extricated the driver and up righted the golf cart with the help of a bystander.
The golf cart driver was transported to UF Health Spanish Plaines Hospital in The Villages.
The investigation into the accident was turned over to the Lake County Sheriff’s Office.
